Responding to last comment: if you are going to do a detox think of it in two ways: 1. a scrubbing out then 2. maintenance. The concept is to clean out years of buildup and allow your liver to run efficiently again. If you have excess toxins your liver can’t deal with it gets shuttled into fat. Fat stores the toxins. So if you run overly toxic then you’ll tend to store fat to deal with the toxins.

      I have been doing the Beverley Hills diet since 1982. It should be called Beverley Hills way of life because when you come off it, you tend to put some weight back on, but it leaves lasting features on your body. READING IT is an eye opener as to why you put on weight in the first place and it gives remedies that can quickly see you losing weight on the first day of reading. Another reason why I like this diet is that the Fruits and foods in it make your face pretty as I find the fruits help collagen. Even without being on a diet I keep to it by starting the day with one of these fruits. You can also cheat or modify it to suit for a day or so, after doing the 5 or 6 weeks. It is in a table format from Monday to Sunday and by weeks, so it is easy to keep to come back to. If you worry about yo-yo dieting, research has shown that this is good for us. The first Beverley Hills Diet book was quite hard and for die-hards that want to lose a lot of weight quickly. The current one on sale is quite easier and you lose weight slowly. You can just keep repeating the cycle. Please remember to use a special tooth paste for enamels and drink a lot of water (2 litres /day) and keep on walking as the fruits make you energetic.
