10 Natural Ways to Burn Belly Fat

7. Avoid the Unnatural
Our modern world presents us with many things that just aren’t natural for the human body to have to deal with. Large portion sizes, sedentary lifestyles, high levels of stress, massive amounts of entertainment to keep us glued to our couches, and tons of pollution in many major cities all contribute to the condition we find our bodies in. The more you can fight against these unnatural items, but better. Make sure you get some daily activity, because that’s natural for us. Feed your body plenty of fruits and vegetables, because that’s a very natural thing for a human to do. Limit the amount of TV you watch, and take time to just decompress and get in touch with your inner self. Cut out unnatural substances like fast food and junk food. They don’t do you any favors and are contributing to the unnatural shape you’ve taken on.

You don’t have to become a monk or anything, but if you just unplug from the grid for a bit each day you’ll see how unnatural our world has become, and you’ll see the link between your body and the lifestyle that the masses subscribe to.

8. Cut Back on Alcohol
Alcohol of all types is full of sugar, and sugar leads to fat. If you’ve managed to cut the sugar out of your life but still indulge in regular alcoholic beverages, you could be sabotaging yourself and not even know it. You may see a study now and then that says one alcoholic drink a day is good for the body because it helps you relax, or it thins the blood. But what those studies don’t talk about is the cumulative effect that has on the body, and whether or not you’d be better off in the stomach area by not having that drink each day.

9. Drink Herbal Teas
Herbal teas are about as natural as it gets, often using spices and herbs that have been proven to speed up the metabolism, cleanse the body’s internal organs, or reduce stress. You can also consider drinking green tea, as it contains EGCG, but not as much as green tea extract, which may be a better way to go and is still considered a natural way to lose fat. Really anything that helps to calm the body is going to help you lose fat, so you can choose an array of different teas to enjoy throughout the day, and if you replace sodas, juices, and other sugary beverages with herbals teas you’re sure to notice a difference in the near future.

10. Be Persistent
Your belly fat only wins when you give up on getting rid of it. Being persistent is a very natural trait. Nature is very persistent, time keeps on going no matter what, and over time if you neglect your belly fat the problem will only get worse. That’s why it’s good to be just as persistent as nature, and take steps each day to eat the right foods, get a bit of activity, be happy, and nourish yourself. As you do these little things each day, they will accumulate as more and more time passes. It’s natural for things to take time to work, which is why you want to avoid fast track promises and gimmicks to lose belly fat, because in all likelihood it will just backfire and you’ll be back at square one trying to start all over again.

This is a great list for losing weight, the only issue I see is that if you are retaining some extra weight around the mid-section and are otherwise pretty healthy, it could possibly be due to adrenal fatigue and cortisol issues, in which case excessive exercising will only make the problem worse (seems counterintuitive, but I went through this for a year and it was extremely frustrating). If that is the case, weight bearing exercise would be more beneficial and possibly some herbs like Eleuthero to bolster the adrenals as well as some other hormone balancing herbs and dietary changes.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the issue.

I struggled for a year because of my belly fat. As I searched what type of belly fat I have, I found out that it protruding belly because it is bulging aroung my tummy. When I was in high school days, I hate when there are events that we should need to wear a cocktail gown or anything that the dress fits in my body because I think my belly fat catching everyone’s attention and I loathe it! I have a sexy body when you’re looking at the back view but as I turned around you’ll get disappointed because I’m like a pregnant woman. Thanks for these tips though! What you have mentioned were the things I did to gain my body now. Drinking water was not really my thing. When I drink atleast 2 glasses of water I feel so bloated until I get used to. I have a healthy lifestyle now unlike before and I take caralluma fimbriata because I can control my cravings and it is known as famine food in India. Great article! Kudos!

Saturated fat is bad??? Come on. What century are you living in?! Uh…you might need the saturated fat for things like hormone production and cellular integrity, no? You have seen the recent studies debunking the idiotic myth that saturated fat is bad for us, correct?

Hey, I know, why don’t you tell us how cholesterol’s bad for us, as well!

I think banishing unhealthy foods is the easiest way to start eating healthy. If you don’t buy it, you won’t eat it, because you can’t! I have also noticed that sleep is a huge factor in staying healthy, not only in the way you look, but how you look as well. Would you say running is the best exercise for losing belly fat?

I personally love Raspberry Ketones. I have lost a lot of weight and I feel great throughout the day. There is one brand in particular that I always buy from. It’s by Legacy Nutra. They have an awesome formula that combines Raspberry Ketones with other products like African Mango and Green Tea Extract. The price is pretty good too compared to others. Only $20. If you guys wanna check it out for yourself, I HIGHLY recommend it. Here is the link for it on Amazon:

I hope your right about all of the above.. Im 5’7 and my weight was 132 to 137 lbs. five years agoI had a hysterectomy that put me into major menopause 1 week later since then in the last 5 years I have put on 20 pounds, I have a muffin top, my bra’s are very tight some dont fit at all and my thighs are huge. This summer and the summer of 2014 I felt my clothes get tighter to the point where I had to buy new clothes for myself. I own a closet full of clothes I refuse to spend another nickel on new pants, shorts, shirts, bathing suits, tank tops, bra’s ect:.I need to lose this menopause weight that I put on I am trying my hardest by eating the right foods and drinking protein shakes for meal replacement also I’m drinking a lot of fruit and vegetable smoothies. I just need a small meal at night as a dinner. I work out at home and I walk my road everyday, I do have lower back problems so I need to be careful when I work out.. I don’t get enough sleep at night I wake up every 2 hours because of lower back pain and I cannot get comfortable in bed, I go from my bed to my recliner back to bed to my couch to my recliner, I’m hoping now that I’m dieting trying to lose weight and working out stretching and walking that all of it will help my lower back problems so I can sleep more at night with out waking up stiffened and stuck in a position, in pain..

Green tea is very helpful if you want to lose weight, however, the progress is slow. And I can’t really say if it really targets belly fat.

  21. Alexandra says:

Saturated fat is actually GOOD for you. Polyunsaturated (vegetable oil) is what you want to avoid like the plague. Eggs, butter, cheese–it won’t hurt you. Furthermore, these things have vitamin K2 (primarily cheese) that help decrease your chances of a heart attack. How? Well, D3 optimizes calcium absorption. Thing of it is, the calcium gets deposited wherever (like in your arteries). The K2 directs it to where it needs to go, and takes it from where it doesn’t belong. And avoid soy unless it’s non-GMO AND fermented (and I think sprouted). That will kill your thyroid.

Just cutting out pop has enabled me to drop 7 pounds in less than a week. I’m also severely limiting, if not eliminating, sugary stuff.

What it gets down to is, avoid processed stuff, and don’t be afraid of eggs, cheese, butter, and the like. I’ve dropped 30 pounds in a couple of months by drinking raw goat milk, a cup or two a day, little to no exercise (I have ankle issues due to a club foot, though no doubt as I lose the weight there’ll be less stress on it). If you can cut sugar and avoid the processed stuff, that’s huge right there.

I started DRASTICALLY changing my diet about 3 years ago, eliminating dairy, wheat, and all sugar. While I made such changes to address underlying health issues, a very noticeable side effect was that I lost ~60lbs in a little over 8 months.

I, more or less, eat Paleo now, and combine that practice with intermittent fasting on a daily basis. The combination of having much healthier foods, much more harmonious foods, and much more time for my body to perform “maintenance” for itself without being bombarded by food has been invaluable.
