    Look, just eat 3 regularly portioned meals a day, which includes varied (fatty) meats, (fatty) cheeses, (fatty) dairy, vegetables, fruits, grain, nuts, and a small amount of sugar. Add 1/2 a cup of live organic yogurt to every meal, with moderate daily exercise, and you may even lose weight. And by portioned, you need to honestly be able to say to yourself “I’ve eaten”, which is usually about a palm-sized portion of meat + a palm-sized portion of sides + a palm-sized (or smaller) sweet dessert. You exclude any of that, and you put your health at risk.

      It’s rude to criticize, especially in the manner in which you did it, without being educated on a subject. It doesn’t appear that you have real training in nutrition. Have you wondered why you see a lot of gluten-free items on the market? That’s just the beginning. It would benefit you greatly to do some actual research before you blast someone, or something. You should know that the government has NO SCIENTIFIC to suggest that eating grains is good for you. In fact, it is not. Take a look at The Paleo Solution, by Robb Wolf. Too much detail to cover here, but he is a chemist, and his book SPELLS OUT why we shouldn’t eat grain, among other things. He talks about sugar as well. For your health, you should read his book. It may save your life.

      White, Refined, processed sugar is also the leading cause of depression. It is addictive! Look and see how much money is made from the sales of sugar products in America! Natural sugar in fruits is what we should be eating. Our bodies were designed for living food, and we put in dead foods and wonder why we are dying! I’m learning to eat clean! It’s been a battle to get over this addiction to sugar! But I am going to win this battle! Please educate yourself on the truth of healthy eating!

REFINED aka table sugar is HORRIBLE for you. your body is meant to process sugar along with fiber but without the fiber and in large amounts, it becomes toxic… Sugar cause inflammation and can lead to heart attacks and diabetes smh. Fruits are perfectly fine for you ofc because they have the fiber and vitamins. Most Americans eat a ‘balance’ diet that is reccomended by the government, yet 2/3 are overweight or obese. If sugar is so good for you then why is it causing so many problems?

We can’t focus, we can’t sleep, we have irrational mid-afternoon cravings, and we can’t even make it through the day without wanting–or needing–to prop up our energy levels with caffeine or even more sugar!     So I am day #8 on this. I started cold turkey after someone sent the book to my husband. For someone who abuses carbs, loves diet coke this has been interesting. So far I haven’t cheated it is tough to juggle around socially but it’s also wonderful to be eating better. I have tracked my sleep with my fit bit (less restless), my energy level feels more clear, I am not really hungry because you can eat a lot of protein, veggies. Day III was like hitting a brick wall. I am sure by the end of this I will appreciate what I put in my mouth and make better choices. I’ll probably stick to it. If you haven’t read the book or her credentials don’t be such a hater. 21 days is not hard. Especially to any woman who has given birth! We’ve got this!

    I’m just completing the 21 day sugar detox level 3 (day 20), and the difference in how I feel is remarkable! I knew i was severely addicted to sugar and knew I needed to stop. Since on it, my energy level is constant, no more roller-coaster rides. I sleep better, I wake up better, my skin looks amazing, my lymphedema (cancer related) had completely dissipated and I’ve lost 14lbs. Refined sugar is absolutely toxic or I wouldn’t have had to detox from it!

    While on this detox, I have learned how many products have added sugar. Things I was consuming daily. This was a huge wake up call for me. Extremely difficult at times, but definitely worth it! I may make this a yearly thing to reset my system.

    I’m highly addicted to sugar and Coke Zero. I’m going to try this because I gained weight (55 years old and Menopause) and Diabetes runs in my family. I need to get my act together and need to feel better – physically and mentally. This is going to be so difficult but I’ve really got to try.
